The evidence is the part that slips
The part the family controls is the evidence, and it is usually the part that slips. Retrieving the pharmacy sale documents, the property closing statement, historic tax filings and consecutive bank statements takes weeks even when everything exists, and longer when an accountant or a former adviser has to be tracked down. Adjudication times are published by USCIS and differ between categories and by country of chargeability, so check the current position rather than an older figure. After admission, conditional residence runs two years, and the petition to remove conditions is filed in the ninety days before it ends, supported by payroll and financial records from that period. Where a child is approaching twenty-one, plot the entire sequence against that date before agreeing to anything else.
Two-year conditions also cover a qualifying spouse and children who are unmarried and younger than 21, or a child who remains under 21 for immigration purposes after any applicable Child Status Protection Act calculation; payment timing neither starts nor completes Form I-829.
