Draw the dependency chain
For each possibility, write the steps in the order the law requires them and mark which are reversible. The irreversible step sets the pace for everything before it.

Start the slowest independent task now
State licences, credential evaluations, translations and source-of-funds tracing take longer than the immigration filing itself and can run in parallel with it.

Settle every family member's status before the principal commits
A spouse's work rights, a child's age and each person's citizenship shape the move. Confirm them on paper before resignation or sale.

Give notice, close the sale or wire the funds only when the admission, approval or committed-funds arrangement that the step depends on is already in place.

A FEW THINGS UP.
When should a New Maryland public servant give notice for a U.S. TN job?
After the TN admission or petition approval, not before. The admission depends on the offer and the credentials, and a resignation cannot be undone if the request is refused at the port of entry.
Can the IT spouse start looking for U.S. work before the move?
Looking is fine; working is not, unless the spouse has a route of their own. A TD spouse may study but may not work, so a separate route based on the spouse's own qualifications must be settled first.
Which should come first, the E-2 application or the business purchase?
The purchase agreement and the committed funds come first, with an escrow that releases on approval; the application follows. Closing unconditionally before the decision puts the money at risk without any assurance of status.
Is anything done in person?
No. Consultations for this edition are remote, and the sequencing work is done on the household's documents and calendar.
